Igor Štimac is an Aviation Expert with over 19 years of experience in Aviation Business and Airport Consulting. He received a Ph.D. in Transport and Traffic Sciences from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He has specialized in Airport Operations, Airport Infrastructure Design, Airport Capacity Planning, Airport Strategic Management, and Sustainability in Aviation. He is currently employed at Zagreb Airport Ltd. as Vice President & Director of Airport Operations and Development Supervision Department and as Aviation Consulting Manager. Besides working at the Zagreb Airport Ltd., he is also employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia, lecturing specialized airport-related courses. He enrolled in many specialized aviation courses such as Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP-IAP), ACI Airports Operations Diploma, Stanford-IATA Aviation Management Diploma (AvMP), IATA-Harvard Leadership & Management Diploma. Over the years, he has participated as an aviation consultant in over 40 complex international and domestic aviation projects and consulting services. He is an active member of many aviation organizations' committees and task forces (ICAO, ACI, Eurocontrol, etc.). He has experience as an EU funding project manager and a European Commission technical expert for evaluating aviation project proposals. He has published over 50 scientific papers related to the aviation industry and mentored over 70 students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
